What kind of conditions do our patients see us for?
We treat a wide variety of patients from those who want to maintain or enhance their current health to those seeking the root cause of their symptoms as it relates to Weight loss and maintenance. Here is a detailed overview of our approach to various conditions and weight loss.
How can I purchase vitamins & supplements?
MetaMorphosis MD has an in office and online supplement dispensary with trusted brands and formulations handpicked by our providers. We recommend our clinic supplements and online supplement store because we feel they are the safest and most effective products. We strive to keep our costs as low as possible, however, all prices are indicated by the supplement companies themselves. You can access our online dispensary here.
Do you prescribe weight loss medication?
Yes, depending on the individual. However, our provider will not necessarily prescribe medications as plans are customized according to your wants and needs.
What kind of weight loss medications are prescribed?
Besides all-natural holistic medications, our provider often uses prescription medications, such as GLP-1 (Wegovy, Saxenda, etc), appetite suppressants (phentermine), and other categories of prescription and NON pharmaceutical weight loss methods (Contrave, PLENITY, some diabetes medications, vitamin supplementation, cognitive behavioral therapy, NUTRIMED bariatric supplement program).
Do you use natural supplements?
Our provider can use ALL natural supplementation instead of prescriptions medication for weight loss plan. You can access our online dispensary here.
Do you offer hormone supplements?
We will refer out for supplementation as needed.
Is this an integrative and holistic medicine plan?
We pride on incorporating an integrative and holistic approach towards health for all patients, but also utilize traditional allopathic medicine training in addition to prescribing pharmaceuticals as deemed fit. However, specific providers may provide an ENTIRELY INTEGRATIVE medicine approach with both diet and supplements if you desire. It all depends on the mutually agreed upon philosophy about what works best for YOU.
Can you work with medical problems and dietary restrictions?
Absolutely.
Do you work with my primary care physician or medical specialist to manage my care?
Our practitioners will offer suggestions regarding other medicines you may take or the need to address underlying medical issues. Some medications may affect other medicine you may take, at which time we will send you consultation to share with your primary care or specialty doctor, or ask you to meet with them periodically. However, your primary care physician or other medical specialist will remain responsible to order your routine labs, preventative care, or address your on-going specific non-obesity medical issues. Additional charges will apply if you do not have another doctor to manage medical conditions critical to weight loss or if we must take over a portion of your routine medical care and prescriptions. We highly recommend that you have a primary care physician.
I might need a dietician, integrative specialized or trainer. Can you help?
At Metamorphosis MD, you will have access to professional referrals. You may choose the practitioner type based on the weight loss approach that you prefer. We have options for you to work with an integrative health specialist, or an allopathic medical provider, or a combination of both. We are happy to refer you to additional providers that we find may best support your weight loss journey.
Can I do this with a friend?
Yes! But you will each need to schedule as individual clients, and give written permission to your provider to share information with one another or conduct joint visits.
Do you help older people over 65 lost?
Yes, of course! It is very common.
What ages do you work with?
Dr. Moutsatsos and the MetaMorphosis MD providers will work with anyone 18 and over, women and men.
I am a new patient. What do I need to provide ahead of my new patient appointment?
Welcome! Ahead of your appointment, please download and complete the patient forms provided here. As part of the intake process, we will ask you to prepare a 3-4 day diet log and gather lab-work and pertinent information from your physicians.
Can you order testing before my new patient appointment?
We are not able to order testing before your New Patient Appointment. You are not yet considered a patient of Metamorphosis MD. We can, however, review previous labwork that you’ve completed at your new patient appointment. When preparing for your New Patient Appointment, our providers review your intake forms and any records you send. Once you are at your appointment, your provider will perform a full history and physical exam. It is not until this time that your practitioner has all of the information he or she needs to provide diagnosis codes that are required to order additional testing, if necessary. We seek a custom-tailored approach for each patient, including choosing the best testing based on history, physical and all available data. Thanks for understanding.
What is the Commitment? How often do I need to come for an appointment?
The initial consultation does not mandate commitment afterwards. You may take our provider’s consultation and seek an alternative care path if you wish.
If you wish to commit to the program, every treatment plan is unique. Your provider will let you know how often to schedule appointments. To further explore our list of current programs and packages, you can visit here.
